fr. PAOLO ALUTTO crs

Remembering Fr. Paolo Alutto, CRS
during this Feast of San Paolo

Fr. Paolo Alutto, CRS depicted in The Aemilian editorial cartoon done by school cartoonist Anton Myer Buendicho .THE AEMILIAN is the official student publication of AEMILIANUM COLLEGE, INC. [College Department].

In its June-November 2007 issue the students composing the Editorial Board under their editor-in-chief Ms. Estelita Basares decided to honor our former College Dean -- Fr. Paolo Alutto, CRS.

Today as the Universal Church honors St. Paul the Apostle my mind lingers into memories of Fr. Paolo and it led me to the touching Editorial written by our students. Here are some excerpts:

A TRIBUTE FOR A MAN OF ALL SEASONS

Dr. Jose M. Lasala described the man plainly as an intellectual giant, a man of God, saintly, frank, sincere, honest, humorous, and educated, a simple man and a great one at the same time...

Eighteen years of his life in this institution where he walks with almost 20,000 quick steps a day. He has dedicated his life to providing innovations for ACI and building a warm and friendly relations among the students, the faculty, the religious community and every individual who is with the institution, he workd with his people, he was one with us and we were one with him. Ayayay -- there is no one like our Fr. Paolo...

He was like a paper boat, he drifted, and he was unafraid. He continued to sail with his dreams for the Aemilian family in spite of all the turmoil and tribulations around him. Just like all of us, he was weak as a paper boat in a pool of murky water but his faith in God, his perseverance and his love for the people around him made him an unforgettable icon; a man whose persona will remain in the hearts of those who had the chance to know him for as long as they shall live.

Fr. Paolo was a man who set an example of living a fulfilled life, a priest who was the paradigm of sanctity and love.

ACI will never be the same without him... Ayayay...
